Vacation Time

We were on vacation, but are back in the States and ready to resume our $30/Week spending!  Seriously, where we went was more expensive than we could imagine.  Can you guess by the photos?

Better than animal crackers?

    We were away during the same time but stopped in Illinois where we did not need to iron our food???? Glad you’re back.

    Just to clarify, the food ironing was an attempt to heat the tart, not having a kitchen in our hotel room. We were largely inspired by this video:

    Though we weren’t cooking anything per se, just heating. Anyway, we kept the tart in it’s cardboard box (though we slid it out a bit for the photo), which we then covered in a dry washcloth then heated with the iron for a few minutes.

    In all honestly, the tart did not get that hot. I think we would have needed to iron it longer, and also balanced the iron upside down (see the video) to heat it for longer.

    You were in Quebec City judging by the marche, but where did you find the wonderful animal buns?

    Thanks for the video Phil. We drove from South Texas to Illinois, stopping at what we called Gobble and Gos where you could get petrol, something or other on flatbread and touch up your makeup. You were living in luxury!
