Menu for Today

Breakfast:

  • Yogurt (thanks to a co-worker who is on vacation, we got some plain yogurt)
  • Homemade granola (made last night with oats in the cupboard and the packet of dried fruits and nuts I bought yesterday)
  • Blueberries

Lunch:

  • Frittata and Pita Bread (Phil)
  • Lemongrass Rice and Lentils (Tina)

Dinner:

  • Possibly something like this or this, but using brown rice as a base and a salad…

    Thanks for posting Tina, helps me to see how others think of uses for the food they have rather than as I do, go out and buy new ingredients for each meal. I am being made aware and I am sure I will waste a lot less. Good for my wallet and the envirnment.

    i think you guys are great and I am constantly inspired by your project. i just wonder about how you have the time for all of your food prep. You both seem to be employed outside of your home and yet also seem to have time to make beans from scratch and brown rice for dinner, granola for the mornings etc. I haven’t yet found that balance — which i know is partly also a choice/lifestyle — but i wonder if you can share more about how you fit everything in your days and weekends and aren’t completely consumed by food and the kitchen?
