A Little Light Gardening

Last weekend, we decided to get a few plants to munch on – namely a variety of lettuces and arugula and one little strawberry plant.  Thanks for all of the feedback on our gardening post and we’ll keep you all posted on how it goes!

i really didn’t know you could grow lettuce in a pot!

if/when the arugula goes to seed you can save the seeds and start new plants. supposedly arugula seeds are also tasty for cooking. you shouldn’t use homegrown lettuce seeds to start new lettuce as the resulting plants have bitter leaves.

I’m glad your Arugula/rocket looks like mine, had been worried I was growing the wrong plant when it came out with roundish leaves.
