Sorry for the slow newsweek folks, but we’ve got friends in town and are busy entertaining. Our kind friends did bring us beautiful dried beans from San Francisco and some veggies from a garden. I spent $1 getting some onion rolls. Our total left for the week is now (drumroll please): $3.17
In making things news, we made some homemade sopes with black beans, diced avocado, zucchini and red onion for dinner the other night. I am still loving masa harina!
It might cool down long enough this weekend that I can try to make some bread – it’s the one thing I miss about winter cooking.
