wow, pretty clever, never thought of anything like that before…the only thing I’ve ever made in a hotel room is a cup of complimentary joe and some popcorn….

Nice. Never thought of the iron as grill… going to have to try that sometime. Pancakes maybe?

i’ve used the coffee-maker’s hot plate (you know the one underneath the pot in the little mini coffe-makers?) to reheat biscuits…

I used to make a ton of things in college with nothing but a coffee maker. cous cous with steamed veggies and marinara sauce was one of my favorites.

i’ve made toast with an iron and used it similarly propped as an impromptu hotplate [thank you Benny and Joon]

and boiled up cauldrons of dye in the bathroom
    but
never thought of making dough in a helltell…..

My husband is American Chinese and if you travel with his parents, they will be sure to cook a meal in the hotel room. The Chinese are very resourceful!
