What We Ate Today: MLK Edition

At the request of Jen, a commenter on our pizza dough post, we’re going to blog what we eat for the week.  Today’s meals were:

  • Breakfast (brunch really) : Coffee w/soy milk, orange juice (NYE leftover) mixed with cranberry juice (work function), homemade arepas and an egg
  • Lunch: Didn’t really have lunch since we ate very late in the morning.  I think each of us had another arepa.  I put a dab of peanut butter on top of mine.
  • Dinner: Vegetable Lasagna (filled with homemade tomato sauce, from pizza night, and a variety of vegetables lurking in the fridge and thawed seitan) and Lacinato-Kale Salad; our neighbors brought us a bit of sundried tomato an spinach tart, so we ate bits of that too
  • Dessert: Piece of Valrhona dark chocolate (I got a HUGE bar in my stocking this year, thanks Santa)

Huh…I guess we ate a fair amount of free food yesterday (juice, quiche, Xmas chocolate). Hope this new feature doesn’t reveal that the $30/week budget is based mainly on sustained mooching.
