This Week’s Bill of SalePosted: October 15, 2008
Working from home after a crazy couple of days. I don’t know how to use Phil’s scanner, so I’ll just write out what this week’s groceries were and the total. We had a $4 surplus from last week, so there is a whole $34 for this week’s budget.
From The Coop:
Sriracha Chili Hot Sauce, Wholewheat Couscous, Can of Tomato Sauce, Rolled Oats, Brussel Sprouts, Coffee Beans, Eggs, Carrots, Soy Milk, Avocado, Ground Ginger, Dates, Cherry Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Shredded Coconut, Red Pepper, 3 kirby cucumbers, Lacinato Kale, Salad Mix, Cheddar, Scallions, Fennel, 3 lemons and some baby eggplant.
Grand total: $32.76
$33.16 (I bought a .40 cent roll in order to make breadcrumbs)
If we didn’t have that $4 extra, the essential Sriracha hot sauce would not have been bought. Luckily, we did. YAY!
A commenter wanted to know what meals we made with what we buy, especially for breakfast. I’m definitely going to try and get better about posting all meals, but for now, here are a few things that we normally have for breakfast during the week.
- Eggs, usually hard-boiled, with some toast
- Oatmeal w/dried fruits and/or nuts or apples
- Homemade granola w/homemade yogurt or just some soy milk
