Yesterday we had a friend over for dinner and Phil made a tasty meal with a can of tomatoes we had in the cupboard, some couscous we had in a jar and eggplant. We had bought some things before the wedding that we knew would be OK if we left them for two weeks (some brown rice, flour, dried beans) and our dry goods cabinet has some odds and ends that can easily create a soup or veggie “stew”. Which is what I plan on making tonight along with Apartment Therapy’s No-Time Bread.
